We are Michael and Jennifer Harling - a surgeon and pediatrician who plan to move to Africa in the Spring of 2018. We feel called to be medical missionaries and have joined SIM, a protestant inter-denominational mission agency.
This "calling" is hard to describe. It is a feeling deep within that we believe has been given to us by God. This yearning makes us want to serve those who need it most. We want to live with and disciple those who will be serving the under-served for their lifetime. We plan to do this by training future surgeons and teaching pediatrics to future internist while learning to live out our faith in the practice of medicine.
